A simple at-home mobility routine

A simple at-home mobility routine laid out with a strap, blocks, and long band.

A useful mobility routine does not need to be long or complicated. Choose a clear floor area, move at a comfortable pace, and use the sequence as general movement practice.

1. Arrive with easy movement

Take a minute to walk around the room, roll the shoulders gently, and notice how the body feels today. Nothing needs to be forced.

2. Use a strap for reach

Hold a looped strap with both hands and keep the grip wide. Explore a controlled overhead path only as far as you can maintain an easy position.

3. Add a supported hinge

Place hands on sturdy blocks set on a non-slip surface. Hinge at the hips with soft knees and a long, comfortable torso.

4. Try a slow band pull-apart

Use a light long band, keep the shoulders relaxed, and move slowly enough to control both directions.

5. Finish with breathing and a reset

Set the tools aside, breathe normally for a minute, and note which movements felt useful enough to repeat.

Stop any movement that feels sharp, unstable, or unusual. Ask a qualified professional for personal guidance when needed.
